ROV Families,
Due to the public health concerns, the World Championships and US Open are cancelled.
The spaghetti fundraiser has been cancelled. If you like, please stop by and pickup meat if you brought it. We’ll put it in the freezer. The Eagles have offered to try again once the concerns have dissipated. We’ll gladly take them up on that offer because we are still in need of additional funding. PLEASE TAKE DOWN ANY SIGNS YOU SEE.
As an older person with underlying health concerns who watches a lot of virus/zombie movies, I understand the need to be aware of the situation and the necessity to take precautions.
At this time, there are no scheduled robotics activities. All future after-school sessions are cancelled for this year. If the situation changes, we’ll let you know. There has been talk about regional tournaments, but it is unlikely that circumstances will improve in the short term.
Registration for next year is online and available now: https://www.roboticsofvermillion.com/registration
The new game will probably be released in May. We start building in August with a first tournament in November.
We also plan to have summer camp. We planned on June, but it may be delayed until late July or August due to continued health concerns. You can be certain that I will let you know of any developments.
We’ve had a great year. Colleen and I have enjoyed working with you look forward to continued success. Thank you for joining us.
